The Sale of Excellence will start at noon Saturday, March 28th in Crescent Hall. We will be selling 280 lots this year. The youth of Wharton County who placed high enough with their livestock or creative arts projects are given the opportunity to sell those projects, recouping their expenses and earning money for their college funds or future projects.
Wharton County Youth Fair buyers are the BEST and always go above and beyond to help the youth of Wharton County! If you do not have a bidder number and would like to participate, please contact the Fair office.
The Freezer Sale office will open at the Main office Friday, March 27 at noon until 5 p.m. for pre-sales and will open again in Crescent Hall Saturday morning at 10 a.m. Fair fund tables will be set up in the Director’s Room Friday, March 27 from 4 to 7 p.m. to accept bids. A buyer’s dinner will be served at the end of the auction. Add-on bids for projects in the Sale of Excellence will be accepted until Monday, April 13. Only projects selling in the Sale of Excellence are eligible for add-ons. Freezer sale projects are not eligible for add-on bids.
