BLASTPASS FAQ
WHAT IS BLASTPASS?
BlastPass is a cashless option for food concessions that uses RFID technology that stores your credits for an easy payment process. BlastPass saves you time and stress with no need for cash at the fair!
WHAT IS RFID?
RFID stands for Radio Frequency Identification. In simple terms, it’s a short-range digital chip that can store small amounts of data. You might have already come across RFID before – it’s the same technology used in many contactless payment and transport systems worldwide.
HOW DO THE BANDS WORK?
Credits are stored on your band. As you make purchases with vendors the credits are deducted from the band. At every location you are able to see the amount deducted and the amount left on your band. If you run out of credits you can always add more at the BlastPass Refilling Stations.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I LOSE MY WRISTBAND OR CARD?
Unfortunately, if you lose your wristband or card you will also lose the credits. To avoid this from happening, we suggest you secure the double barrel lock on your band tightly. This will prevent your band from falling off your wrist.
ARE THERE ANY FEES ASSOCIATED WITH THE BLASTPASS?
There is a one-time $2 startup fee upon your initial purchase of the band. The fee is applied if you purchase is made onsite or online. This fee covers the price of the wristband or card and the technology used to track and manage the credits tied to each band or card.
